Cakewalk by BandLab is freeware. Cakewalk by BandLab is based on the currently halted SONAR Platinum digital audio workstation. BandLab’s free DAW offers almost the same features as its predecessor, eliminate the bundled third-party software.
Step 1. Go to BandLab.com.
Step 2. Click the Download button.
Step 3. Next, click on the Download button to get the BandLab Assistant for Windows.
Step 4. Download and install the BandLab Assistant.
Step 5. Run the BandLab Assistant.
Step 6. Here log in option comes. It’s free to Sign up, by creating a Username and Password combination, or else you can log in using Facebook, Google. or by creating a Username and Password combination
Step 7. The tap on the Apps tab, & get the Open button for BandLab, the green install button for the more advanced DAW – Cakewalk by BandLab.
Step 8. Next is the green install tab to prompt start and install the process.
Step 9. After tapping the install button first window opens with add-on items. Simply click OK without checking any boxes if you do not wish to install any add-ons. Next, again click install.
Step 10. Select language set up.
Step 11. After accepting the license agreement, the installation will continue.
Step 12. Now the Cakewalk installation setup completes select Finish to complete and exit the install setup.
Step 13. At last the BandLab Assistant will show the Cakewalk section as Up to date, and you’ll see that the Install button has now changed to an Open button.
Then your amazing free DAW is ready to create musical magic.
